RAMEKEGA, formed in 2007, is a California-based band made up of singers/songwriters/sisters: Kelli Pozon (rhythm guitar/keyboard/lead vocals), Gabrielle Pozon (drums/percussions/vocals), and Kaira Pozon (bass/vocals). 

Their musical journey began after the loss of their brother, William, back in 2002, and their mother, Marie, in 2006. Songwriting became their way to not only cope with their grief, but to help their father, Rey - a songwriter, their manager, roadie, producer, and biggest fan - also find healing through music. Even after he passed in early 2022, they decided to keep going, knowing there might be others who still need to hear the music they had to share, with the hope that it would bring joy and inspire hope in their listeners.

The band's body of work is a plethora of genres - indie, alternative, pop, rock, soft rock, jazz, folk, blues, and R&B - and incorporates both Retro and contemporary elements. Their wide range of variety can be credited to being raised on their parents' and grandparent's music (think The Beatles, Beach Boys, Bee Gees, ELO, Earth Wind & Fire, George Gershwin, Dean Martin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin) and so much more. While there is a sense of the 60's-70's nostalgia in their delivery, audiences both in and out of the music and entertainment industry have remarked that their style and sound is their own, and their eclectic songwriting skills are prolific with a multi-genre range. 

In their three full-length albums - "Me and My Shadow", "Normalcy", and "RAMEKEGA" - there is a unique "LIVE" sound that draws the listeners in with distinct lyrics, melodies, and the unmistakable three-part harmonies of siblings. Their songs and dynamic stage presence has earned them acclaim over the years, opening up opportunities for shows at The Roxy, the El Cid, the Ebell Theatre; local television ("Yourself Presents" by Time Warner Cable, "Kababayan" on LA18), national television (AXS TV Live); city festivals, college venues, podcasts, and both local and international radio airplay. In 2019, they were named as one of Music Connection Magazine's "Hot 100 Live Unsigned Artists & Bands".

Although still in the DIY, independent artist stage, they continue to write more songs, and look for ways to connect with their audience, in hopes of leaving their listeners, fans, and supporters with something more than special: a legacy of great music that they can bring with them throughout their days as a soundtrack to their lives.
